JOY Jewel™: Communicate (Module 17)

Description

Connection is built one conversation at a time.

Communicate is one of the five JOY Jewels™ (Awareness, Self-Honesty, Acknowledge, Communicate, and Action). This course explores the principles of clear, authentic, and empathetic communication: active listening, powerful questions, emotional intelligence, nonverbal cues, and navigating difficult conversations. You will practice applying these principles in coaching and everyday interactions.

Why it matters: Research on sharing good news found that telling others about positive events increased positive emotions beyond the event itself, and that active, engaged responses from others were linked to stronger relationships (Gable et al., 2004, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology).
