What you need to know before applying.
Do I need prior coaching experience to apply?
No prior certification is required. Level 1 is designed for coaches at any stage — from those just beginning to experienced coaches who want to add the JOY Mindset® framework to their existing practice. You bring your passion; the curriculum provides the structure.
Is this self-paced or cohort-based?
The core modules are self-paced so you can progress on your schedule. Each level includes live group coaching sessions (monthly or weekly depending on level) that provide community, accountability, and direct access to Dr. JOY and senior coaches.
What does "JOY Mindset® Practitioner" allow me to do?
Certified practitioners are licensed to use the JOY Mindset® framework in their coaching practice, deliver the JOY Jewels™ strategy with clients, and administer the JOY Mindset® Assessment. Level 4 graduates are also certified to deliver L.E.A.D. with JOY® corporate workshops.
Can I start with just Level 1?
Yes. You can purchase Level 1 for $750 and decide to continue after completing it. If you commit to all four levels upfront, the bundle price is $3,050 — saving $250 versus purchasing each level individually at $3,300 total.
Is there a payment plan available?

How is this different from ICF or other general coaching certifications?
