JOY Ethics (Module 8)

Description

Trust is the foundation of every coaching relationship. Ethics protects it.

This course explores the ethical principles behind JOY Success Coaching™, including confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism. Through case studies and discussion, you will work through common issues such as conflicts of interest, dual relationships, and client confidentiality, and build strategies to handle ethical dilemmas with confidence and integrity.

Why it matters: Professional coaching has clear ethical standards. The International Coaching Federation’s Code of Ethics, effective April 1, 2025, calls for “the strictest level of confidentiality with all parties involved” and requires coaches to recognize and manage conflicts of interest (ICF Code of Ethics, 2025).

You will leave with the Applying JOY Ethics Tool, the Ethical Explorer Challenge, and the Ethical Expedition activity to apply JOY Ethics in real situations.
