This course explores the purpose and central focus of JOY Success Coaching™: empowering people through choice. You will learn to clearly explain what a JOY Success Coach does, describe how empowerment increases JOY, and practice strategies that help clients understand their purpose and act on it.

Why it matters: Self-determination theory links autonomy, competence, and relatedness to stronger motivation and well-being (Ryan & Deci, 2000, American Psychologist). Purpose matters, too: in a study of nearly 7,000 U.S. adults over age 50, those with the lowest sense of life purpose were more than twice as likely to die during follow-up as those with the highest (Alimujiang et al., 2019, JAMA Network Open).

You will leave with your Empowerment Journal, Empowerment through Choice tools, and a visual guide to the JOY Success Coaching™ core focus and purpose.
