About Course
Strong schools are built by teams, not by teachers working alone. In a study of more than 9,000 teachers in 336 Miami-Dade schools, higher-quality collaboration in instructional teams was linked to faster teacher improvement and greater student gains in math (Ronfeldt et al., 2015, American Educational Research Journal). Related research found that teachers in supportive professional environments, including strong peer collaboration, were about 39% more effective after ten years than similar teachers in less supportive schools (Kraft & Papay, 2014).
For international educators, U.S. structures like PLCs, grade-level planning, and peer observation can feel unfamiliar at first. This workshop helps you build authentic collaboration through co-planning, peer observation, and inquiry-based team learning. You’ll walk away with practical protocols for your next team meeting, and a communication toolkit for navigating cultural differences and difficult conversations.
